Notes

• Sarah Hunter was unanimously voted Co Lead Liaison of Native Garden/Green Schools for 2023-24 school year.
• David Hines, Jr. unanimously voted as Recording Secretary for 2023-24 school year.
• Still need to fill the Lead Classroom Liaison Lead position.
• Leesa Elkins is gathering insurance quotes. Costs will most likely exceed $300 estimated in the budget.
• Brett Bayliss needs to be added to Google Drive. – Already completed.
• Corrections to By-Laws unanimously approved. Leesa Elkins to update based on redlined version shared at meeting:
  • “Regular Meetings” changed to be referred to as “General Meetings”
  • Recording Secretary duties to be added.
  • In financial section:
    • e) Signatures of Lead, Finance, and 1 additional Lead  shall be on bank account.
    • f.) Two signatures from Leads shall be…
    • i.) ….within three (3) business days of receipt.
• Unanimous praise for Angela Ficorelli’s FCMA Parent Guild style guide. It will be placed on Google Drive along with downloadable brand assets and logos.
• Full group agreement on trying to have separate Parent Guild emails from the school.
• August 30th – Parent Guild will have tables at the Preschool/Early Elementary Orientation at 9-10:45am and Meet the Teacher Night. Co-Lead Liaisons will be present but need other Leads to assist.
• Leesa Elkins is looking for volunteers (kids and parents) to “Chalk the Walk” around the school on the evening of September 4th.
• Lead Liaisons would like Leads to be present to help talk to parents at Coffee & Bagel Social on the morning of September 5th, the first day of school.
• Lead Liaisons would like to create a sub committee (similar to that of last year’s Spring Dance) for the Fun Run. They would also like to have a day where a group of Leads canvas local businesses to look for sponsors.
• Reviewed Leesa Elkins’ updated sponsorship template for Fun Run. The following changes were agreed upon for the new budgeting tiers:
  • Bronze: ….your company logo will be prominently displayed on Fun Run T-shirts and FCMA website.
  • Silver: …on our social media platforms and a certificate of appreciation to display….
  • Gold: …all benefits of the Bronze Sponsorships, along with your company logo on our yearly Skate Night T-shirts….
• David Hines, Jr. to look for late September dates for Green Lantern Dine to Donate event. He will also look into Olga’s, Crumbl, & Bakehouse 46 as potential options for other months.
• David Hines, Jr. to sign up with Staples in Clawson for school supply kits.
• Lead Liaisons to provide Jennifer Bartleman with a Fun Run T-shirt from last year to give to the owner of Ace Hardware.
